Winter Break Appetite

As promised, here's a post dedicated to the foods I had over winter break. I took a break from my semi-vegetarianism eating habits and decided to enjoy myself. We tried some new places and some other places we don't go to very often.

California Pizza Kitchen:
I had the pizza with all the green. It was so so good. I am actually drooling as I type because I'm hungry at the moment and this pizza was delicious. When I first saw the pizza on my IG feed, I thought it was just another one of those salads on top of a pizza, but it is actually super tasty. I have to be in a good mood for avocados, but I was not bothered by them and all the greens. I loved everything about the pizza. It was so good!

James had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken pizza, or something along those lines. John had a regular pepperoni pizza. We had a lot of pizza over those two weeks and I think this was the best of them.

Snoh-Ice:
There's this really cute Phoenix cafe that serves shaved ice. Again, I had the one with the most green :) It's green tea flavored and I had mango cubes and lychee fruit and condensed milk drizzle. I like shaved ice more than I like frozen yogurt. It's such a unique concept that's super tasty. I love going to that place because it's cheap and the small sized cups are large enough to even share.

James had mango flavored ice, pineapple fruit, and nutella drizzle. John had original/milk flavored ice, oreo crumbles, and caramel drizzle.

Hana Japanese Eatery:
I've been wanting to try Japanese Ramen for a while and I am so happy that I finally got to try it! James and I have been on a Studio Ghibli marathon and in the movie Ponyo, she eats a big bowl of ramen with ham. Even though my bowl of ramen didn't come with ham, I still felt like Ponyo when they brought out this large bowl of ramen to me. It was delicious. The soup I picked was a creamy one and it had some pork and beef strips of meat with fish cakes. It was as tasty as it looks.

James had an udon noodle soup. I asked him to take a picture of it before he ate it, but it didn't come out as nice as I wanted it. I would have taken another picture, but he had already started eating it :( John had ramen with spicy soup. You can kind of see his bowl in the back. He didn't get an egg, but I shared half of my egg with him, lol.

In-N-Out:
This was John's first time eating at an In-N-Out, they don't have any on the east coast. He really enjoyed it because it's cheap and it also fills you up. We went there twice and he enjoyed it each time. He said he would really miss In-N-Out when he goes back home.

These were the only picture I took of our food. All the other times we just went to casual fast food places like Chipotle, Panera, or Ihop. We also had lots of Papa Johns pizza since we were sick the second half we didn't feel like leaving the house and we were just playing video games most of the time.

January Update!

Hello, bloggers! First I want to apologize for being terrible and breaking my promise over winter break. I was supposed to update my blog more often but I didn't do it. I was just enjoying the time I had to rest and relax. I also got sick towards the end of the break and I couldn't talk for about 5 days and I was the most miserable person ever. It happened to be during the time that the semester was starting also. It was the worst double whammy, but I am feeling so much better now.

Over break, James' brother, John, came to visit. He stayed with us for 2 weeks and it was so fun showing him around. It sucked that James and I both got sick the last couple days he was here, but we still had a blast. Here's a picture of James and John observing some art at the Phoenix Art Museum. The other pictures I took were of food and I'll do that in another post, if I don't forget ;)

In other news, James and I are packing our apartment since we're moving soon. Lots of things are happening within the first few months of the new year. It's a little overwhelming having to deal with school and work also, but I'm just taking it one day at a time right now. Another one of the reasons why I haven't updated in a while is because I am really trying to focus on school. I'm in my senior year and I need to work harder than ever if I want to keep my grades up.

In entertainment news, I have started streaming! Well, kind of. Over winter break, John showed James and I how to start streaming on Twitch.tv. For the time being, James is streaming more than I am since I don't have my own PC yet, but I'll be getting one after we move to our new apartment. I'll do a separate post on my streaming venture and my new PC. I hope you guys understand my busy and hectic schedule for the first two months of the new year, but I really do promise to update more often once everything settles down. ♡
